Privacy Policy

Last updated: 12 September 2026

The Karen Meter is a for-entertainment quiz site. This page explains what is and is not processed when you use it. The short version: we do not ask for, and do not want, any personal information.

What we collect

Nothing that identifies you. There are no accounts, no sign-up, no comment forms and no newsletter. Your quiz answers are processed entirely in your browser to calculate a score; they are never sent to or stored on a server, and they are gone as soon as you leave the page.

Advertising (Google AdSense)

Some pages of this site display ads served by Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies and similar technologies (such as advertising identifiers) to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites, and to measure how ads perform. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this site and other sites on the internet.

You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, and you can opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info. How Google uses information from sites that use its services is described at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Where the law requires it (for example in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland), you will see a consent message before any personalised ads or advertising cookies are used. Until you agree, ads are non-personalised.

Analytics (Google Analytics 4)

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand roughly how many people visit and which pages they read. IP addresses are anonymised, and analytics storage is switched off by default through Google Consent Mode, so no analytics cookies are set unless you consent. The reports we see are aggregated and do not identify you to us.

Other third-party services

Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, and the site is hosted on Microsoft Azure. Like any web server, these providers receive standard technical data such as your IP address and browser type in order to deliver the page. The share buttons on the result screen open X, Facebook or WhatsApp in a new window only when you click them; nothing is sent to those services before that.

Your choices

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time, and you can use the opt-out links above for personalised advertising. Because we collect no personal data ourselves, there is nothing for us to access, correct or delete on your behalf.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone, children included.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of the page shows when it was last revised.
